If you haven't seen the crazy "where the hell is Matt" dance, do click on the YouTube clip above and check it out. I have no idea why, but it's pretty addictive. I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty jealous of 31-year old Matt Harding. He turned a bit of cuteness caught on video camera into a means where companies (most recently Stride gum) now bankroll his travels.
Very well done Matt Harding. You are officially my hero. A newspaper recently caught up with him and asked him a few questions about his travels - prepare yourself for a bit of jealousy:
Q: Your most memorable journey?Let me say here and now for the record, if anyone or any company wants to bankroll any of my travels I'll be happy to dance, sing, drink heavily, scare small children...basically do whatever it takes to entertain you...
A: "There were so many. I have to say dancing underwater with a humpback whale in the Vava'u Islands in Tonga was really profound and moving. To see something that enormous and graceful, well, I couldn't speak for a while."
Q: Any hairy moments?
A: "Kjeragbolten, Norway. I was on a rock stuck in a chasm wedged 3,000 feet in the air. ... It was really, really windy and also snowing a little. The rock was slippery and terrifying. It was very stupid of me."
Q: Anything gross?
A: "I visited Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean, known for its population of giant red crabs, at the height of spawning season. It was literally covered with crabs."
Q: How did you choose where to go?
A: "I just got a big National Geographic map and drew lines around places I was curious about."
Q: What did you learn?
A: "What struck me was that no matter where you are people are the same. They see someone dance and they want to dance, too."
...but until then, I'll keep writing the blog.
Oh well.

Unlike standard Multiculturalism dogma which says we should celebrate our cultural differences, Matt and his dancing videos illustrate what instead we should celebrate at least just as much if not more, our similarities, what we as humans of all cultures share in common.
Tears of joy! Incredible video. Dance everybody, dance! Matt is cool, it’s good to see that he’s still out there cruising around. Leave him a comment about his evil dancing. LOL! I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. Great job Matt! Stay safe out there! Keep dancing!

rock and roll is evil
it's the devil's best music
and dancing to it is sin

only Earthlings may dance
